Our Shutter Down Series has become a South Bay gathering of amazing singer songwriters. Vol 16 delivers yet again. Supporting artist Sophia Elena will open the show with a 15 minute set followed by an intimate, personal journey with Ethan Hoffman.
Ethan Hoffman is a singer-songwriter blending thoughtful lyricism with a warm mix of indie folk and indie pop. A Palos Verdes native, Ethan builds his songs around acoustic guitar and expressive, understated vocals, creating music that feels intimate, melodic, and emotionally grounded. His writing lives both in the quiet moments that unfold like late-night conversations and in the rhythmic, soul-inspired melodies that hook a good ear. Having performed at Project Barley numerous times, Ethan has become a familiar face, known for shows that feel bigger than the stage itself: where the whole room becomes part of the performance. Through genuine crowd connection and spontaneous moments, he creates an atmosphere that draws everyone in and makes each night feel unique.
