Unexpected Trio of Sorts brings together three guitarists from Japan, New York and California in a collaboration built on improvisation, original music and a shared love of the guitar. Shin Kawasaki, Aragorn Wiederhold and Chris Hanna blend acoustic guitar, percussion, sampling and beats into an instrumental mix of jazz, fusion, Latin, lounge and worldbeat. Everyone writes. Everyone solos. And the music rarely ends up where you expect it to.
